Touch Jesus

“She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse.”
Mark 5:26

Jesus now is returning to His side of the sea. To what could be referred to as His land. In Luke’s gospel, as a physician, he says she could not be healed. Mark, from his perspective, says in :26 says she had suffered many things at the hands of many physicians. It’s interesting how we think our time is so unique or our problems, struggles or temptation are exclusive to us. It’s just not TRUE. Look here, “she had spent all that she had.” The matter of medical expenses being so great is not exclusive to our time alone.

What happens next? She pressed in and sought Jesus. Many surrounded Him but she touched Him in faith for healing. It’s similar to today, where many surround the Lord and use His name… Jesus… freely. People are running around flippantly saying, Jesus, this, and Jesus that, and people think they have this grip on Him, but often they’ve touched Him as the crowd touched Him. Not like this women… who touched Him in faith for healing. Have you drawn close and come to know the person of Jesus? What do you need a touch from Jesus for? How will you draw near to Him today?

May our Powerful Savior draw you closer to see Him more clearly and touch Him in a real way.

By His Spirit,
Pastor Bill
