From Pains To Pearls

Exodus 16:25 “So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet.”

This past Sunday we looked at the Lord’s leading in the Israelites life… and how His first destination for them was at the water’s of Marah. If you were with us you know Marah means “bitter.” (If you were not with is I strongly encourage you to listen to the message ccgfchurch.com).

Now, there are real disappointments and reasons for resentment in each of our lives. What did God show Moses was the real “healing remedy” for their inward bitterness? “The Lord showed him a tree.” The tree was a picture that pointed to the TREE… the cross where our Savior would suffer for us. Have you seen the tree? Have you taken what Jesus did for you on that tree and thrown it into the bitter waters of your life?

What you do with the Cross matters…

Think about the oyster. It takes a grain of sand and turns it into a beautiful pearl. Too often we are just the opposite–we take pearls and turn them into grains of sand.

May the Lord turn your bitter past and pains into beautiful pearls…

By His Spirit,
