God’s Provision Is Himself
Genesis 22:6 So Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife, and the two of them went together.
This past Sunday we dove into God’s revelation to Abraham and us of His revelation as Jehovah Jireh “the Lord Who Sees.” Truly, whatever you are facing today our God will “see to it.” As we saw in Genesis 22:8 “God will provide Himself.”
Paul breaks this down further for us when he says in Romans 8:32 “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?”
What is it that you are waiting on God for? Is it financial? Emotional? A physical healing? Peace for your soul? An awareness that you are forgiven? Whatever it is Jehovah Jireh will see to it…
Missionary statesman Hudson Taylor had complete trust in God’s faithfulness. In his journal he wrote:
Our heavenly Father is a very experienced One. He knows very well that His children wake up with a good appetite every morning… He sustained 3 million Israelites in the wilderness for 40 years. We do not expect He will send 3 million missionaries to China; but if He did, He would have ample means to sustain them all… Depend on it, God’s work done in God’s way will never lack God’s supply.
Whatever or wherever you are today call out to the Lord for provision and more of the true supply we need: HIMSELF.
