Deuteronomy or “second law” as the word Deuteronomy means was Moses’ heart for the children of Israel and what he wanted them to know that they know that they know. What is it that you know that you know that you know? The Israelites in Deuteronomy were preparing to enter into the land of Promise and Moses was imploring them to learn to think biblically. Recently I was reading a book on the importance of purity and this stuck out to me.
